Part-Time Instructors

SPARK is seeking enthusiastic and reliable instructors to teach engaging school enrichment classes for children in Pre-K through Elementary School in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties.

Who We're Looking For

This opportunity may be a great fit for teachers and teaching assistants, college students, tutors, after-school and enrichment instructors, camp counselors and youth program leaders, and individuals with a background in Yoga, Dance, or STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, or Math). Experience in any one of these areas is a great fit — and a curiosity to learn and grow with us matters just as much as prior experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead fun, age-appropriate enrichment activities

  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Encourage creativity, confidence, and active participation

  • Arrive on time and communicate professionally with schools and the SPARK team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with elementary-age children

  • Background or interest in Yoga, Dance, or STEAM-related subjects

  • Strong communication and classroom/group-management skills

  • Friendly, energetic, patient, and dependable

  • Comfortable leading activities independently

  • Reliable transportation to assigned school locations

  • Weekday afternoon availability

  • Must be authorized to work in United States

  • Ability to successfully complete all required background checks
